SAMAA’S QAWWALI NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS   South Asian Muslim Association of Australia (SAMAA) staged another very successful event for elders of the community. The Mehfil-e-Qawwali on Sunday 19 March at Bankstown Sports Club theatre is described as a magical evening by those who attended it. Well over 300 people including elders, their families, SAMAA volunteers and members, wider South Asian community as well as anglo saxon fans of this classical art filled the stunning theatre. The Acoustics of the Auditorium was of the highest quality, so the lighting and other features. The ensemble of Tahir Faridi Qawwal gave an outstanding performance in singing very popular numbers of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Sabri brothers. SAMAA Celebrated Eid Milan South Asian Muslim Association of Australia (SAMAA) held Eid Milan on 9 August at Auburn Town Hall to bring together community elders to celebrate the annual Eid ul Fitr festival. Not only elders and their families gathered in large number, several parliamentarians, representatives from aged care agencies and SAMAA members, volunteers and community members also joined in to make it a joyous occasion. South Asian Muslim Association of Australia (SAMAA) celebrated the annual event of Jashne Buzurg at Bowman Hall, Blacktown on Sunday 12 April 2015. Well over 300 people including several dignitaries, health experts, representative from aged care agencies and providers, community leaders and a large number of SAMAA elders, volunteers and community members  packed the hall and enjoyed the day with enthusiasm and joy.
