Samaa signs memorandum of understanding with care connect

South Asian Muslim Association of Australia and a major service provider CareConnect signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 11 July 2011 at CareConnet office in Blacktown. The purpose of this MoU is to establish a general working agreement between the above named agencies as a framework for working in partnership on the Positive Ageing Grant and in support of all Community Aged Care services.

This MoU represents a non-legally binding expression of hope and intent for the listed agencies to work together to ensure quality aged care services for the South Asian Muslim elderly in various areas depending on availability of funding to CareConnect in the current Aged Care Approval Round (ACAR).

Background

The two agencies have expressed common interest and commitment to working together on providing information sessions about aged care services and positive ageing for the South Asian Muslim elderly community residing in the greater Sydney and regional areas.
